Forming up a charitable organization is a very challenging task. Having the idea in mind, having the courage to implement it, keeping the goal as the central focus, giving the idea the form of an organization, and continuing to serve it selflessly and tirelessly is a very long journey. One such organization in Sangli district that fits all these criteria perfectly is the one dedicated to patient service.

A bold step was taken to ensure that the poor and needy people of the society get treatment at a reasonable cost, staying away from casteism and politics. Through the efforts of Dr. S. B. Kulkarni, Dr. R. K. Diwan, Shri Appasaheb’s grandson, Dr. B. A. Khot, Dr. G. S. Joshi, this charitable organization was inaugurated on August 1, 1971, under the name of Arogya Kendra Madhavnagar.
With an intent to extend our work for more people, in year 1991, Arogya Kendra building got constructed.
Completed building in year 1993.
For providing more facilities, and for convenience, the building was renovated.
Start of Nivara Jyestha Sevashram
Since service is the goal, the organization started a senior citizen shelter named Nivara in June 2017 with the aim of providing support and treatment to needy senior citizens who are bedridden or alone.
