In 1971, some social activists came together and started a medical service organization called Janseva Vishwast Mandal, Arogya Kendra at Madhavnagar, in the district of Sangli. There was a large labor population in the village in 1971, and also in 10-12 villages near Madhavnagar. All of them had little access to medical care. Patients from these places had to travel 5-7 km to Sangli for treatment of even a simple illness.
Therefore, the doctors leading in the field of social service, viz. Dr. S. B. Kulkarni, and Dr. R. K. Diwan along with some local volunteers, established this organization to extend their ethical medical service to poor and needy people of the society. It is the only institution in the area to offer such ethical services in the medical field.
It was registered in the year 1974 and operates a 10-bed multispecialty charitable hospital within the limits of Madhavnagar Gram Panchayat in Sangli district of Maharashtra. Here poor and needy patients are provided medical services at very low rates. Today, the center treats about 125 patients daily. Medical officers and related staff are available. 24 X7

All kinds of tests and operations are done here by experts. About 20-22 Specialists from Sangli and Miraj come once or twice a week to provide their medical services. All doctors offer their services at very low cost. We organize free health camps in the hamlets of Sangli district.
